To park in a disabled spot, a placard must be displayed; parking fees will be discounted upon exit.\nFor information about valet parking, UCSF shuttles, campus maps and more, visit our locations page. Further information about using shuttles can be found on the Disability Resource's guide to health center and campus resources.\nWheelchairs\nWheelchairs are available at the entrance to most hospital and clinic buildings. For assistance, ask a member of guest services.\nService animals\nWe welcome service animals that are individually trained to perform tasks for a person with a disability, and patients may bring them to all public areas of the medical center. Animals who provide therapy, comfort or emotional support are not allowed, except as trained and registered participants in our approved programs. For more information, please review our service animal policy.\nAmerican Sign Language\nWe offer free in-person and video medical interpretation for several languages, including American Sign Language. This service is available 24/7.\nAssistance for the hearing impaired\nMedical center operators are available 24 hours a day by TTY (teletypewriters, also known as telecommunication devices for the deaf) at (415) 885-3TTY (3889).\nIf you want to speak with someone who doesn't have a TTY, you can use a telephone relay service. California Relay Service provides this assistance at no charge: Simply dial 711 on your phone or TTY. Communication Access Realtime Translation, a service that instantly transcribes spoken words onto a screen, can also be scheduled upon request.\nRequesting accommodations\nBefore or during an appointment or hospital stay, patients and visitors may seek accommodations through the patient's health care team or staff at the specific location.
